Home Club: Alpine Ski Club

When did you start snowboarding and how did you start racing?: II started boarding at 7 and racing at 11. I started racing because my sister was on the Alpine team and I wanted to be better then her at everything when I was younger. So, a family friend helped me learn how to ride a soft boots, later on my coach (Jonas Brook) started teaching how to ride hard boots to start getting me into racing.

Where is your favourite place to ride?: My favourite place to ride would have to be Alpine Ski Club, because its my home club and I grew up riding there. I also enjoyed riding at Mt. Hood in August.

Who is your snowboarding role model or hero?: My snowboarding role model would have to be Caroline Calvé and Marianne Lesson. They are both inspiring, hard working athletes, with incredible race results.

What do you like best about snowboarding?: I love the intensity and speed of racing, knowing that anything could happen in the course beside you, no matter who you are going head - to - head against. But, my favourite part about snowboarding/competing would have to be seeing all your hard work during training pay off at the race when you get the results you hoped for.

What do you like to do when you're not competing or training?: When I'm not competing, I'm trying to train so that I know I will be maximizing my next season, on snow. But I enjoy playing soccer and spending time at the cottage with friends and family.

What are your goals as a snowboard racer? Some goals as a snowboard racer would be to go Junior Worlds, compete as a World Cup rider, become a member of the Canadian National Snowboard team and eventually become a Olympian.
